What is the most important lesson you’ve learnt during your career?

The most important lesson I’ve learned is the value of patience and adaptability. Throughout my career, I’ve encountered many challenging situations, and I’ve realized that taking a step back and carefully considering the best approach can make all the difference. It’s crucial to stay calm, listen actively, and adapt to the ever-changing landscape in order to find the right solutions.

What is your favourite part of your job?
My favourite part of the job is the variety of people I get to engage with every day. I enjoy getting to the heart of their issues, whether it’s a client, a broker, or a colleague, and finding solutions that make a real difference. It’s both rewarding and fulfilling to see the positive impact of these interactions and to know that the work we’re doing helps others succeed.

What are you proudest of having achieved to date?
Being selected as a finalist in the Mentor category in the recent WICI awards was certainly a huge highlight for me, however I’m also very proud of the relationships I’ve built day to day, and the trust I’ve earned with clients, brokers, and my colleagues. The ability to work in sometimes challenging environments and still drive positive results is something I take great pride in. Over the years, I’ve helped businesses grow and adapt, and I’m proud to have played a role in their success. More recently I do a lot of work training the next generation of brokers in our industry – watching them grow and blossom is something I will never get tired of.

If you could be anyone for a day who would you be and why?
If I could be anyone for a day, I would choose Emma Grede – CEO and co-founder founder of Good American – the first full inclusive brand that celebrates all dimensions of female power. I admire her entrepreneurial spirit, her ability to create successful businesses, and her commitment to making a positive impact, particularly with inclusivity and diversity. Her journey from the ground up to becoming a powerhouse in the fashion and business worlds is inspiring, and I’d love to experience her mindset and approach to leadership.

What is the best advice you would give to an aspiring leader?
The best advice I’d give is to lead with patience, empathy, and integrity. Leadership is about understanding people, working through challenges with a calm and focused approach, and always being open to learning. Surround yourself with diverse perspectives, listen carefully, and stay committed to delivering practical, thoughtful solutions. Leadership is about empowering others and creating an environment where everyone can thrive.
