The International Credit Insurance & Surety Association (ICISA), the industry association dedicated to fostering collaboration and innovation in the world of credit insurance and surety, is delighted to announce the establishment of a new working group known as Women in Credit Insurance (WICI).

WICI, an informal association comprised of individuals from broker firms and insurers, was founded at the start of 2023 with the primary goal of enhancing the representation of women in the trade credit insurance industry, particularly in leadership positions. The group aims to achieve this through various means such as mentorship, networking events, and training programs designed to empower women in the sector.

WICI’s mission is to create a supportive community where women can flourish and excel in their careers within the credit insurance field. By fostering mentorship relationships and hosting networking events, the group intends to facilitate knowledge sharing, career advancement, and opportunities for its members. Through training initiatives, WICI strives to equip women with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in this dynamic industry.

“We are thrilled to join ICISA as a working group and look forward to collaborating with other members to further our mission. Our success will be measured by the positive impact we have on the individuals participating in our activities and the strides we make in advancing gender diversity within the trade credit insurance industry,” said Sarah Murrow, Chairperson of WICI.

ICISA is committed to promoting diversity, inclusion, and collaboration within the credit insurance and surety sectors, and the addition of the Women in Credit Insurance (WICI) working group aligns perfectly with these values.
