“Export Insurance Company “KazakhExport” JSC is the only specialized insurance organization and development institute of the Republic of Kazakhstan, performing the functions of an ECA (Export credit agency), providing exporting enterprises of the processing sector & their importers, financial institutions with insurance protection against the risk of non-payment, credit risk in foreign trade operations and guaranteeing the safety of export transactions.

Today, KazakhExport offers 18 different support tools to facilitate export of goods and services from Kazakhstan.

Since 2016, within the framework of its activities, KazakhExport provided insurance coverage to 210 Kazakhstani manufacturers for a total amount of over USD 1,9 bln.

Of these, insurance obligations worth USD 551 mln were accepted in 2022.

KazakhExport is a full member of international associations such as the Prague Club of the Bern Union and Aman Union, which include the most prominent export credit agencies in the world.

In September 2020, the insurance coverage of KazakhExport was equaled to highly liquid security for bank loans.

KazakhExport since 2019 has been provided with state guarantees for export support in the total amount of USD 916 MLN by the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan with a validity period of 10 years as security for its obligations related to repayment of debts on insurance payments.

On November 2, 2023, the financial reliability rating of KazakhExport from Moody’s Investors Service was confirmed at the level “Baa2”, the forecast for the financial reliability rating is “positive”.

KazakhExport was established in 2003 by the decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, initially as the State Insurance Company for insurance of export credits and investments.

Since 2013, KazakhExport has been part of the National Managing Holding Baiterek.

In March 2017, KazakhExport received the status of a National Company. This step, coupled with the transformation, has expanded the capacity to support Kazakh exporters. Export credit insurance, pre-export and trade export financing were added to the main tasks of the national institute.

Rauan Zhaksybayev, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board– oversees accounting, administration of insurance and reinsurance operations, strategy, economic planning and treasury.

Ayan Bektybayeva – Deputy Chairman of the Management Board – oversees the underwriting of direct insurance and reinsurance, risk management, actuary and sustainable development.

Allen Chaizhunussov – Deputy Chairman of the Management Board – oversees insurance, international cooperation and work of foreign representatives.

The activities of foreign representatives of “KazakhExport” were launched in 2018, and the company gradually expands the geography of its presence. Today the offices of foreign representatives operate in Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Russian Federation, Kyrgyz Republic and China (Guangzhou).
