JSC “Export Insurance Company “KazakhExport” is the only specialized insurance organization and development institute of the Republic of Kazakhstan, performing the functions of an export credit agency, providing exporting enterprises of the processing sector and second-tier banks with insurance protection against the risk of non-payment in foreign trade operations and guaranteeing the safety of export transactions.

Today, “KazakhExport” offers 18 different tools to support exporters of Kazakhstan.

From 2017-2021, within the framework of its activities, KazakhExport provided insurance coverage to 175 Kazakhstani manufacturers for a total amount of over USD 1,250 billion. Of these, insurance obligations worth USD 454,5 billion  were accepted in 2021.

JSC “EIC “KazakhExport” is a full member of international associations such as the “Prague Club of the Bern Union” and “Aman Union”, which include the largest export credit agencies in the world.

On August 18, 2021, the financial reliability rating of JSC “EIC “KazakhExport” from Moody’s Investors Service was upgraded to the level “Baa2”, the forecast for the financial reliability rating is “stable”.

By the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dated December 24, 2019, No. 966 and No. 652 dated September 2, 2021, “On the provision of state guarantee for export support to Joint-Stock Company “Export Insurance Company “KazakhExport” decided to provide state guarantee for export support in the total amount of USD 460 mln with a validity period of 10 years as security for its obligations related to repayment of debts on insurance payments.

In September 2020, the insurance coverage of KazakhExport Export Insurance Company was equated to highly liquid security for bank loans.

In August 2021, the company entered into Treaty agreement with  Swiss Reinsurance Company (Zurich, Switzerland).

JSC “EIC “KazakhExport” was established in 2003 by the decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, initially as the State Insurance Company for insurance of export credits and investments.

Since 2013, KazakhExport has been part of the National Managing Holding “Baiterek”.

In March 2017, KazakhExport received the status of a National Company. This step, coupled with the transformation, has expanded the capacity to support Kazakh exporters. Export credit insurance, pre-export and trade export financing were added to the main tasks of the national institute.

Aslan Kaligazin, Chairman of the Management Board, Member of the Management Board – performs general management of KazakhExport;

Yerdan Bekhozhin, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, Member of the Management Board – oversees the field of information technology, business analytics, legal support, human resources management, procurement, administrative and economic activities;

Rauan Zhaksybayev, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, Member of the Management Board – oversees accounting, administration of insurance and reinsurance operations, strategy, economic planning and treasury.

Ayan Bektybayeva – Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, Member of the Management Board – oversees the underwriting of direct insurance and reinsurance, risk management, actuary and sustainable development.

Kuanysh Mukazhanov – Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, Member of the Management Board – oversees insurance, reinsurance departments, international cooperation and work of foreign representatives.

The activities of foreign representatives of “KazakhExport” began in 2018, and the company gradually expands the geography of its presence. Today, the offices of foreign representatives operate in Tashkent, Dushanbe, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Bishkek, Kazan and Xi’an (China).

The representative network allows interaction between all elements of the unified infrastructure for the promotion of domestic goods and services abroad through business consulting in a particular country, financial and non-financial support measures, search for relevant partners (importers), assistance in the organization and conduct of business missions, exhibitions, business forums, etc.
